Ways To Improve Your Motor Control

By Charles Long

A fine motor skill will involve the coordination of small muscle sin the hands and eyes. Mastery of fine control will give both adults and children a greater range of individuality in their daily activities. Activities that can strengthen both eyes and hands coordination can help in performance improving fine motors skills while having fun. Continuous practice of a specific skill will result in greatly improved performances. The importance of motor control continuing education is that it will make the individual learn new things that are going to be helpful for their lives.

There are at least two types of motor skill. These are gross motors and fine motors skills. The difference between the two is that the gross will require large muscles while fine will only use smaller muscles. Both of these two types can be improve to make the person handle their day to day obligations and routines.

Gross to specific is a pattern which large muscle develops much earlier before finer movements. For instance, the child will only pick up large objects than picking up an object that is small between the fingers and thumbs. The earlier movements involve larger groups of muscles but as soon as they grow, finer movements become possible and any things can be achieved.

It is important to gather much information to learn more things before anything else. A person can acquire lots of information from other people. They can ask some recommendation from their loved ones and friends to understand much better about the whole skills.

Hand and eye coordination is important. Use scissors to cut. Using the scissors is a good exercise for constructing the fundamentals of hand and eye combination. Start by cutting down the papers with making any designs and then create lines to proceed. Start with the basics of straight lines then waves to zigzags. If you are having some difficulty, begin by cutting the straws which is easy to be cut.

Using the clothes pin to pick up things on the floor. Working with a clothespin would progress hand dexterity and firming your grasp. Picking up tassels and moving them with a clothespin from a pile to transfer into another. Use the pins to hang various things in the line. If the pins are hard for you, try tweezers first. They will require a lot more focus but are relatively easy to squeeze.

The autonomous phase takes several months or even years to reach it. The phase is being dubbed autonomous because the performers that are automatically completing the task without having any attention on performing it. Perfect examples would be talking, walking and sight reading while doing simple arithmetic problems.

The influences of development can be categorized on stress and arousal, fatigue, vigilance and gender. The anxiety and stress is usually the result of the imbalance between the capacity of the individual and the demand for work. A perfect example is where the individual worked and perform repetitive jobs. The performance level is arousal or moderate.

There are at least six aspects of motor skill development. The qualitative changes the movement process that results in movement outcome. The sequential is where motors patterns precede with others. Cumulative is where current movements are built on previous ones. Directional, multifactorial and individual are other aspects. The adaptation refers to the interplay that is complex with interaction between forces with the environment and individuals.
